The Land of Fire and Ice - Iceland!

Our transatlantic crossing continued to Reykjavik, Iceland to explore the geological wonders of this land of fire and ice!

One by one we landed and transferred to our home for the next two nights; the well-located Hotel Borg, situated right in the middle of town.

Arriving on the earlier side, we had enough time to explore downtown Reykjavik before dinner. Jim and Deb did a little shopping as well...









The second leg of our transatlantic crossing was complete! In celebration, wine and a delicious meal at the Fish Market. Many do not expect the superb dining Reykjavik has to offer - we were back to comfortable accommodations with our bellies full.





Iceland is well known for its geological wonders - gorgeous waterfalls, exploding geysirs, fault lines, tectonic plates, glaciers and more - and of course, the famous Blue Lagoon. All were on our agenda for our discovery of this beautiful land.


What better way to tour the Golden Circle than in a monster Mercedes ride?!

Tomorrow our Transatlantic crossing completes in Shannon, Ireland, where we will be joined by one of our three European TBMs!

"Kalimera Greece" - Porto Heli, Greece

We are wheels up for our next destination - "Kalimera, Greece!"which means "good day" or "good morning" in Greek. A phrase we heard throughout our time here. We landed in Athens but transferred to Porto Heli, Greece, on the mainland, for our stay at the stunning Amanzoe - our home for the next 3 nights. On arrival into Athens. Jim is still on prist duty Tijl and Lizzie and Danielle being whisked away for their helicopter transfer to Amanzoe. Tijl is ready! The group is scheduled to transfer by road to the Amanzoe, a 2hr45min scenic drive, but with a helicopter transfer as an option - cutting travel time to just 25min - some jumped on the possibility. The whole group will transfer out of Amanzoe by helicopter for our departure out of Greece.
