Luck of the Irish - Shannon, Ireland
Our final leg of the Transatlantic Crossing takes us to Shannon in western Ireland. To no surprise, we landed with rain and low clouds - typical Irish weather. We were handed a Guinness beer immediately for the perfect Irish welcome!

Our time in Ireland included a full day tour to visit some of the local highlights - on the agenda was the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, a local pub for lunch and more discovery of this beautiful destination.

In an attempt to act "local", we enjoyed a musical dinner at the Sean Collins & Sons Pub located within walking distance of the Adare Manor - a real treat and great time for us all.

Our final day at the Adare Manor was free for everyone to enjoy on their own however when hearing of the on-property Falconry - we couldn't pass it up. A wide variety of birds reside at the Adare Manor including several owls and falcons of course. A real treat for the group as we each took our turns receiving these magnificent birds.

Our afternoon finished off with a bike ride around the grounds of the property - the area is beautiful and when matched with blue skies, we couldn't ask for anything better!

Meeting us in Ireland were Tijl and Lizzie who will be joining us for the remainder of our Journey Around the World. Also fellow TBMers, they had a short hop from the UK to officially launch their start of this flying adventure. Our airplane count is now up to 4!
After refueling and closing up the airplanes, we set out for the Adare Manor, our abode for our time in Ireland. This magnificent property has just completed an enormous renovation that exceeded our expectations - a must for anyone visiting Ireland! Added perk - quite possibly the most comfortable beds known to man!
