Departure Point: Quebec City

Our departure point for our Journey Around the World is Quebec City, Canada. Offering a great mix of culture, beauty and comfort, Quebec City and the Fairmont Chateau Frontenac make choosing this departure point a no-brainer for our Transatlantic crossings. The stunning Chateau Frontenac, perched atop a hill overlooking the Saint Lawrence River, offers splendid views of the surrounding area. This landmark hotel is one of the most iconic buildings of the city - standing out among Quebec City's skyline - and has been our launching point for every previous Around the World Journey. Never failing to make us feel right at home, we are greeted in our rooms with a sweet Around the World themed treat - and this year did not disappoint! Watch Out World, Here We Come!

In merely a few days we will officially launch on a flying adventure of a lifetime; our 2018 flying adventure AROUND THE WORLD. Over the next 70 days, we will fly nearly 23,000 nautical miles across 3 oceans, 25 countries, 36 destinations and 24 time zones. Did we mention this was a Journey of a lifetime? For the first time in our Around the World's 7 year history, the fleet of participants is comprised of the same make aircraft - the Daher TBM - a high performance single engine turbo-prop.  The 850, 900, 910 and 930 models of the Daher TBM are all represented within our group of six - three United States based TBMs and three European based TBMs. The Journey will initially launch with the three US based TBMs out of Quebec City, Canada, for the North Atlantic Crossing. The European TBMs will be joining up at various points in Europe and will complete their North Atlantic Crossing during the last legs of their Journey while making their way back home to Europe. ....and s...
